How do I Renew or Replace my Pet Registration Tag?

Body

You must renew your pet's registration tag before its expiration to ensure records are up to date.

  • All pets that are older than four months need to have a registration tag that is renewed regularly, either every year or every three years depending on your rabies vaccine.
    • Proof of a rabies vaccination, either one or three year version, is required.
    • The pet's rabies certificate must be signed by a licensed veterinarian.

You can renew or replace your pet's tag four ways:

  1. Request a tag with your veterinarian at the time of the vaccination.
  2. Visit the Website at Renew Your Pet Tags.
  3. In person at the Pet Resource Center Monday through Saturday between 10 AM to 5 PM.
  4. By mail. Send copies of documents and a check payable to BOCC to the Pet Resource Center at:
    • 440 N. Falkenburg Road, Tampa, FL 33619.
      • PRC will mail your new tag back to your home address once processed.
